Y Type Strainer named from the English alphabet Y because its external appearance and outline shape match with same. Y Strainer mostly use for course filtration application, for fine cleaning perforated sheet lined with wire mesh can be used.
Basic use of Y Type Strainer is to remove and stop external particle from pipe line at strainer end and which give protection to expensive control valve, pumps, flow meter and process equipment. It is also useful to eliminate more than required size particle other than manufacturing process media requirement.
